1. Filters
• Look into polarized filters. Get used to working with it. Will it enhance your shot?

• Other filters may also enhance your photograph, but remember too many filters may add extraneous noise. You can always edit the RAW in Silkypix!

2. Infinity Focus
• Make sure your photographs are always in focus. This means, for landscapes, to usually focus to infinity. This will provide plenty of clarity.

3. Tripod, Tripod, Tripod
• Always, always, always use a tripod on your landscape and outdoor photography. It offers perfect stability and you can always shoot away once set up.

4. Shorter Lens?
• Sometimes having a longer zoom lens will give less clarity and detail in your shots. In order to get the best possible contrast and level of detail (sharpness), use a fixed focal length lens and just move closer. It's as simple as moving closer to your subject and using a shorter lens.

5. Look for Weather
• As with any form of outdoor photography, make sure you consider the weather before you go out for your shoot. Do you want an overcast sky? A bright and blazing sun? The weather will always impact the photograph! You may want to look at your subject in various kinds of weather before you decide which day/time to go for your shoot – especially if your subject is far away.
